AFG vs PNG Playing 11: Afghanistan will be eyeing to secure their berth for the Super Eights as they lock horns against Papua New Guinea in a Group C match of the T20 World Cup 2024 on Friday (June 14).
The match will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago. With two victories in two matches, the Afghans sit on top of the Group C points table. On the other hand, PNG have lost both of their first two matches.

Papua New Guinea can make a couple of changes to their lineup. Semo Kamea can come in to replace Alei Nao whereas Jack Gardner may also be handed a chance. The likes of Sese Bau and captain Assad Vala have done decently for them and will be hoping to showcase some resistance against the rampant Afghans.
Afghanistan are flying at the moment and now the massive opportunity they have to ensure a place in the Super Eights. They have blown away the teams so far and the only team to have bowled out in two matches in this T20 World Cup. Although the Afghans won't be complacent, we may see them making a couple of changes to the lineup. Mujeeb Ur Rahman may be handed a game while Fareed Ahmad can also come in for a taste of World Cup.
