Star spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman returns from injury as Afghanistan announced their white-ball squads for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe, scheduled to start with the three-match T20I series on December 11.
Mujeeb had missed international action since the T20 World Cup earlier this year. The 23-year-old, who recovered from a phalanx sprain, featured in the Abu Dhabi T10 and is fit to be back in the international fold.

Young left-handed batter Zubaid Akbari also received a maiden call-up to the T20I squad, while Darwish Rasooli returned to the shortest format side following an impressive domestic season, having led Afghanistan to the title at the Emerging Asia Cup.
Star opener Ibrahim Zadran, however, remained unavailable as he continues his recovery from ankle surgery. Rashid Khan will continue to lead the T20I side, while Hashmatullah Shahidi retains captaincy in the ODI setup.
ACB CEO Naseeb Khan expressed confidence, saying "Afghanistan have a strong history in Zimbabwe, and we look forward to another memorable tour. The selected players are ready for the challenge."
Interim Chief Selector Ahmad Shah praised the squad's depth and expressed his confidence. "Mujeeb's return is vital. Zubaid Akbari and Darwish Rasooli have earned their spots and we wish them success," said Ahmad.
Afghanistan's last white-ball series saw them clinch the ODI series by a 2-1 margin against Bangladesh in Sharjah. They will begin the Zimbabwe tour with the T20Is followed by the three-match ODI series in Harare before the two-Test series in Bulawayo.
