Who Won the Toss Today, AFG vs ENG World Cup 2023 Match 13: Afghanistan vs England Match Toss Result on October 15

Who Won the Toss Today, AFG vs ENG World Cup 2023 Match 13: England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to field first against Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday (October 15).

Jos Buttler further added after the toss that they are confident of chasing on the surface and are making no changes in their line-up from the last game against Bangladesh, which Englishmen won by 137 runs.

"We will bowl first. No particular reason, looks like a good wicket and we'll like to chase," said Jos Buttler after winning the toss. "We are going with an unchanged side. Looks like a good batting strip, South Africa and India posted big scores. I think we've improved a lot from the first to the second game, we just have to show the same intensity.

His Afghan counterpart Hashmatullah said he would have wanted to field first as well and added that they would have to bat well on the wicket. The skipper made one change in the line-up, Ikram Alikhil came in for Najib-Ul-Haq.

"We wanted to bowl first, but this is a 100-over game, we'll have to bat well," said Hashmatullah. "Looks like a batting pitch, expecting the same conditions like the last game. Hopeful of doing well and putting pressure on them. We've good spin options and anything around 300 should be a good score. One change, Najib is not playing, Ikram replaces him."
