Abu Dhabi, Feb 15: Afghanistan cricket team will take on United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the three-match T20I series.

The small white-ball series will begin on February 16 and conclude on February 19. The second T20I between the two sides will be played on February 18.

Venue: All three matches will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

The series is part of the five-year agreement between Emirates Cricket Board and Afghanistan Cricket Board under which Emirates Cricket Board will provide support in hosting Afghanistan's 'home' matches.

The Afghanistan team led by Rashid Khan will bank on players like Hazratullah Zazai, Najibullah Zadran and Fazalhaq Farooqui, among others. Rashid - who has returned from South Africa after leading MI Cape Town in the SA20 - played for MI Emirates in the ILT20 2023. He and other Afghan players would eager to win the series and give something for the fans to cheer.

UAE's squad features Karthik Meiyappan, who shot to fame in last year's T20 World Cup after taking a hat-trick against Sri Lanka.
