Afridi likely to replace Younis Khan as captain of Pak one-day squad

By Super Admin

Lahore, Oct.10 (ANI): Following Pakistan's failure to make it to the ICC Champions Trophy final, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to name flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi as captain of the one-day squad.

Afridi, who is also Pakistan's T20 captain, met PCB officials, including chairman Ijaz Butt at the Gaddafi Stadium here. Outgoing team manager Yawar Saeed was also present during the meeting, The Daily Times reports.

Sources said the PCB would make an official announcement regarding a change in the captaincy in a few days.

It may be noted that captain Younis Khan has already made it clear that he has no issue if the PCB wants to remove him from captaincy amid the match-fixing controversy. (ANI)
