The buzz surrounding Kaur's presence was intensified due to a recent controversy involving Virat Kohli. The cricketer inadvertently liked a post featuring Avneet Kaur, leading to widespread speculation and discussions online. Kohli attributed the action to an Instagram algorithm glitch. However, the incident escalated when singer Rahul Vaidya mocked Kohli over the 'like', claiming he was subsequently blocked by the cricketer.

This exchange sparked a flurry of reactions from fans and netizens, further fueling the controversy. Although the India stalwart wrote a long message on Instagram explaining the 'glitch' and his unintentional like, things have not yet settled down.

In the match, Mumbai Indians posted a total of 155/8 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings saw early setbacks, with opener Ryan Rickelton dismissed for 2 runs by Mohammed Siraj in the first over. Captain Rohit Sharma contributed 7 runs before being caught by Prasidh Krishna off Arshad Khan's bowling.

Suryakumar Yadav and Will Jacks played decently but Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore turned things around for the Titans in the middle overs, thus swinging the match in favour of their team.
