'Agar Aapke Dum Hai..' - Mohammed Shami sends stern warning after Sania Mirza wedding rumors

By MyKhel Staff

India pacer Mohammed Shami fired a stern warning to the people who linked him with Tennis star Sania Mirza.

Shami was linked with marrying Sania Mirza recently after the latter's divorce with Pakistan batter Shoaib Malik. Although cricketers do get linked with other glamour world starts, Shami completely denied those rumours.

In a recent podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, the India pacer opened up on the link and said it was a very weird incident.

"It was completely weird. I can understand memes are created for fun, but that needs to be done with proper thought as someone's life is related to it," Shami said at the podcast.

The star bowler then went on to fire a warning to the rumor spreaders and challenged the accused to post from verified social media accounts.

"You [The Meme creators] don't post from a verified page and you don't have a proper address, hence you can say many things. Agar aapke dum hai to verified page se bolke dikhao. Fir hum batate hai ke aap kitne paani me gire ho (If you have guts, say it from a verified page. Then I will show you how much in trouble you are)," Shami warned on the podcast.

The player also advised people to work on something good rather than disturbing successful people.

"It is very easy to defame or disturb anyone. Try to achieve a bit of success and upscale the level. Do something meaningful and make others happy. Try to shift your joy from tormenting others to helping people. Then I will admit that you are a good person," the India pacer added.

Shami has been out with an ankle injury since the 2023 ICC World Cup but revealed that he has recently returned to training. The Indian speedster will be eyeing to make a return to the side in the upcoming international assignments.
