Agarkar back in Mumbai team for West Zone one-day tourney

Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) Ajit Agarkar makes a comeback into the Mumbai team after injury for the West Zone one-day tournament which will begin in Pune on February 26.

Amol Muzumdar has been retained as the captain of the 15-member squad for the tourney which was announced by the Mumbai Cricket Association here today.

India Test opener Wasim Jaffer also finds a place in the squad.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai selectors selected a young team which will take on England Lions in a practice one-day match on February 19 at the Brabourne stadium.

With most of the main players representing West Zone for the Duleep Trophy final which begins on the same day at Wankhede stadium, the Mumbai selectors plumbed for youth under the leadership of Amol Muzumdar.

The team for West Zone one-day tournament: Amol Muzumdar (c), Ajit Agarkar (w-c), Wasim Jaffer, Sahil Kukreja, Ajinkya Rahane, Aditya Tare, Anup Revandkar, Ankit Chavan, Abhishek Nayar, Ramesh Powar, Usman Malvi, Murtuza Hussain, Rohan Raje, Dhaval Kulkarni, Bhavin Thakkar. Coach: Praveen Amre.

The team for the one-day game against England Lions: Amol Muzumdar (c), Vinayak Mane, Vinit Indulkar, Bhavin Thakkar, Anup Revandkar, Aditya Tare, Wilkin Mota, Siddharth Chitnis, Vikrant Yelligatti, Dhaval Kulkarni, Rohan Raje, Ankit Chavan.
