Akram surprised over 'lazy' Butt's inclusion in T20 team

By Super Admin

Lahore, Jun.3 (ANI): As Pakistan prepares to take on arch rivals India in a practice match ahead of the ICC World Twenty20 Championship starting from June 5, former captain Wasim Akram has expressed surpise over the selection of opener Salman Butt in the T20 team.

"It's surprising to see Salman in the team after looking at his performance," Akram said.

Terming Butt as a 'lazy' player, Akram pointed out that the left handed batsman played most dot balls during the last World Cup.

"The lazy approach of Salman would be devastating for the team in the World T20," The Nation quoted Akram, as saying.

Commenting on Pakistan's defeat against South Africa in one of the practice match, Akram said captain Younis Khan should make the players realize their responsibilities in the team.

"If they want to win the World Cup they need to show courage and determination because they are representing a country and the entire nation is watching them desperately in television," he said. (ANI)
