Former India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer Ambati Rayudu launched the Super Kings Academy in Coimbatore, which will commence cricket coaching classes in January 2024.
This is going to be the 6th academy of the Chennai Super Kings in Tamil Nadu. Launched in April 2022, the CSK academy already operates in Chennai, Salem, Trichy, Tirunelveli and Hosur. There are also two academies in Berkshire (UK) and Dallas (USA).

Former CSK star Ambati Rayudu, who retired from IPL after winning the title in 2023, inaugurated the facility in Coimbatore.
"Coimbatore is lucky and really fortunate because growing up as a cricketer to get these kinds of facilities to practice is a dream. I am sure a lot of good cricketers will come up using these facilities in Coimbatore, especially having turf wickets and also having specialty coaching," Rayudu said.
"We have seen Junior Super Kings teams as well and we have seen many players going on to play for IPL teams as well as for India. So, I think it is a great initiative by CSK and I congratulate the partners FE Sports Zone. I am sure it will be a successful venture for them as well and I am hoping that Coimbatore in the near future will produce a lot of players not only for Tamil Nadu but I am sure a lot of international players as well," he added.
Address: FE Sports Zone, 419/2 A, Villankurichi Village, VK Road, opposite to Guruswamy Nagar, Thanneer Pandal, Peelamedu, Coimbatore 641 004.
