Former India player Ambati Rayudu has quit the YSRCP party days after joining the Political Party.
Rayudu took to his social media profile and revealed his decision on Saturday (January 6). The ex-India and CSK player joined the party just 9 days ago and now has decided to leave.

"This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRCP Party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time," a post from Ambati Rayudu wrote.
The 38-year-old recently joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), a regional political party based in Andhra Pradesh, but his decision to quit just after days has ignited questions among the people. YSRCP is also the current ruling party in Andhra Pradesh.
Ambati Rayudu has decided to quit the political party, but hasn't given any clear reasons for that. He said he wants to be away from politics for some time. But the real reason we believe will be coming into light only after a few days.
It is a massive blow for YSRCP, led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It was reported that Rayudu would contest in the 2024 Lok Sabha election and the player was also the brand ambassador of the Andhra Pradesh government's Aadudam Andhra Program.
Was the ex-India star struggling to get ground in the party? Did he get involved in a spat so early in YSRCP? Only time will tell the story.
Ambati Rayudu decided to hang his boots from Indian cricket in 2023. He announced his retirement from IPL just after Chennai Super Kings' amazing triumph last year.
He registered himself for the Major League Cricket in the USA but was denied an NOC by BCCI after getting picked up by the Texas Super Kings franchise.
