Former India player Ambati Rayudu has revealed the reason for him leaving the political party YSRCP only nine days after his official joining the party.
Rayudu announced leaving YSRCP on Saturday (January 6) and announced it on social media.

"This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRCP Party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time," a post from Ambati Rayudu wrote.
The 38-year-old recently joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), a regional political party based in Andhra Pradesh, but his decision to quit just after days ignited questions among the people.
But on Sunday, Rayudu has confirmed the reason for his departure from politics.
Rayudu confirmed that he will be playing for MI Emirates in the upcoming ILT20 tournament, held in UAE. The former CSK player said he has to remain politically neutral while playing professional sport, which prompted him to leave the YSRCP.
"I Ambati Rayudu will be representing the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming ILt20 from jan 20th in Dubai. Which requires me to be politically non affiliated whilst playing professional sport," Rayudu wrote on his X profile.
The Andhra-born player is also expected to play for Texas Super Kings in the Major League Cricket (MLC), a franchise tournament based in the USA.
Rayudu announced his retirement from Indian cricket last year after winning the IPL with Chennai Super Kings. The upcoming ILT20 is a return for Rayudu under the MI fraternity as he started his franchise career with the Paltans.
