Amethi celebrates Pankaj's selection in Team India

Amethi, Sultanpur, Dec 12 (UNI) Whether Politics or Sports, this district does not lag in anything.

Its celebration time for the people of the district, as native Pankaj Singh has been selected in the Indian Cricket Team for the team's next Australian tour.

The frenzy crowd of locals in his native Barsatha village bursted crackers and distributed sweets to express their happiness.

Pankaj, player of India (A) team, had recieved huge applaud for his bowling during the team's Zimbabwe tour.

His father Sukhraj Singh, a retired armyman, told UNI ''I am glad on my son...people, including politicians, started calling to congratulate after getting to know of his selection into the Indian team.'' On the other hand, Pankaj gave all the credit of his achievement to his elders and their blessings.
