Amit Mishra memes trended on X on Tuesday after his comments on Virat Kohli went viral. Featuring in a YouTube Podcast, the veteran leg-spinner claimed that Virat Kohli changed drastically after getting fame and money.

The 41-year-old praised Rohit Sharma, saying that unlike Kohli, the Team India captain remained grounded despite getting equal success and fame. He said Rohit would come and talk to the seniors, but the same can not be expected from Kohli.

"I have seen Virat change a lot. We had almost stopped talking. When you get fame and power, they think people are reaching out to them for a purpose. I was never one of those. I have known Cheeku since the time he was 14, when he used to eat samosas, when he needed pizza every night. But there is a huge difference in the Cheeku I knew and Virat Kohli the captain," he told on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast.

On the same podcast, Amit Mishra was also critical of KL Rahul and Shubman Gill. He confidently asserted that Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will sack KL Rahul as captain and "look for a player who plays for a team and has a better approach towards T20 cricket".

Amit Mishra also called Amit Mishra a clueless captain. He said Gill should not be considered for India captaincy as he does not understand nuances of captaincy. Mishra also minced no words in rating Ruturaj Gaikwad a better batsman than Shubman Gill.
