Hyderabad, Feb 7: Indian legspinner Amit Mishra has been ruled out of the one-off Test against Bangladesh due to an injury. He will be replaced by the uncapped youngster Kuldeep Yadav.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), today (February 7), said that Mishra was out of the Test due to a knee injury, which he sustained during the 3rd and final Twenty20 International against England in Bengaluru on February 1.

"The All-India Senior Selection Committee have named Kuldeep Yadav in the Indian squad as the replacement for Amit Mishra, who is injured, for the one-off Paytm Test match against Bangladesh to be played from Feb 9th at Hyderabad," BCCI said in a media advisory on Tuesday.

"Mishra has been ruled out of the match after he sustained a knee injury while fielding in the Bengaluru T20I match against England. He has been advised rest and will undergo further medical examination," it added.

The 22-year-old left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep is yet to represent India at the senior level. He has played for India Under-19s and India A. Recently, he took 3 wickets (1/32 and 2/2) in the two-day warm-up game against Bangladesh. Last month, he bamboozled England in a one-day practice match in Mumbai, taking 5 wickets for 60 runs.

In October 2014, for the first time, Kuldeep was picked in the Indian ODI squad for the series against West Indies. This was after an impressive showing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, he did not get a chance to play.
