The star-studded wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai has created quite a buzz, drawing a guest list of industrialists, former heads of state, and celebrities from around the world.

The grand ceremony on Friday (July 12), celebrating the union of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani's younger son, is being held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), and it witnessed the presence of some of cricket's most renowned figures.

Among the distinguished invitees were legendary Indian cricketers such as MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Zaheer Khan, and KL Rahul. MS Dhoni attended the event with his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva, while Yuzvendra Chahal was seen with his influencer wife Dhanashree Verma. Bumrah was snapped with his wife Sanjana Ganesan.

Mumbai Indians' star Ishan Kishan attended alongside India cricketer Krunal Pandya, and KL Rahul was present with his actor wife Athiya Shetty. The wedding is also expected to see international cricket stars like Dwayne Bravo, Sam Curran, and Graeme Smith in attendance, ensuring the cricketing world was well represented at the grand celebration.

Rohit Sharma absent from the royal wedding

Notably, India's T20 World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma was absent from the wedding festivities in Mumbai, as he is currently in London with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira. Rohit attended Wimbledon 2024 at Centre Court, where he watched the men's singles semi-final match between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev, with Alcaraz securing a spot in the Wimbledon final.

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Tony Blair attended the wedding along with their wives, further enhancing the event's lavish atmosphere. FIFA president Gianni Infantino was spotted dancing at the Ambani wedding on Friday alongside Indian actors and singers.

However, another notable absence is the power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. The couple's current stay in London may have prevented them from attending Anant and Radhika's wedding, sparking speculation about their potential move to London.

Hollywood and Bollywood stars, including John Cena, Rajinikanth, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and American influencers Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, added even more star power to the grand wedding.

The event marked the culmination of four months of one star-studded pre-wedding celebration after another, as Anant, 29, tied the knot with Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant.
