Andhra Premier League 2023: Results and Points Table of APL Season 2

Andhra Premier League season 2 - APL 2023 is set to start with the league stage fixtures from August 16 and conclude with the final on August 27. Like the inaugural edition, six teams will battle for the title.

APL, a T20 tournament organized by Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), will feature Bezawada Tigers, Coastal Riders, Uttarandhra Lions, Rayalaseema Kings, Vizag Warriors and Godavari Titans.

The tournament that will be played across 11 days will see all the 19 matches, including the APL 2023 Playoffs, staged at a single venue - Dr YS Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The 15 league phase matches will see each team face the remaining teams once with the top four progressing to the APL playoff like in IPL - Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the final.

The Qualifier 1 will see the top 2 teams clash for a direct entry into the final, while the loser gets another chance via the Qualifier 2, where they will face the winner of the Eliminator that will be contested by the third and fourth placed teams.

The league phase, which starts on August 16, will conclude on August 23, and after a day's rest, the playoffs will be held on August 25 and 26 followed by the final on August 27. There is no information of a reserve day for the final as it stands.

The tournament will see Indian cricketers KS Bharat and Hanuma Vihari share the stage with some promising talent in Andhra cricket. Now, let's take a look at the fixtures with results and the team standings.

As for the points distribution, four points were awarded for a win last season as opposed to the 2 points in several other T20 leagues, while a No Result was awarded 2 points and a loss zero points. The same points system will be used even in the 2023 season.
