The recent buzz in cricket circles has been abuzz with rumors suggesting a possible fight or altercation between Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and team captain Salman Ali Agha.
Speculation soared particularly during Pakistan's preparations for their series against the West Indies in Florida, with social media rife with claims of a spat between these two prominent players, leaving fans and experts wondering if there was friction simmering within the Pakistan team.

The rumors about a fight or spat between Shaheen Afridi and Salman Ali Agha originated primarily from social media, where claims surfaced suggesting a heated argument or clash during a practice session of the Pakistan cricket team. These reports alleged that the team captain Salman Ali Agha and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi had a disagreement, with some rumors even implicating friction involving the coaching staff. One viral tweet claimed that Agha and head coach Mike Hesson were unhappy with Shaheen's attitude, though this was never substantiated.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has categorically denied these allegations in a strong official statement. The PCB called the reports "baseless, fabricated, and defamatory," asserting that no such incident involving Shaheen Afridi, Salman Ali Agha, or any coaching staff member occurred during any training or practice sessions.
PCB described these rumors as a deliberate attempt to sow discord within the team, aiming to undermine the cohesion, morale, and reputation of the national squad.
"The PCB affirms that no such incident has occurred at any point during training or practice sessions. These malicious rumors are entirely fictitious and appear to have been deliberately concocted with clear malafide intent to sow discord within the national squad," a statement from PCB read.
The Pakistan board also gave a strong warning that they will initiate legal proceedings against the culpable parties who will further spread the rumours.
"PCB will be initiating stringent legal proceedings, including but not limited to defamation and cybercrime charges, against the individuals and/or entities responsible for originating and disseminating this false narrative. Any persons found complicit in propagating these claims will be held fully accountable under applicable laws," it added.
Despite the rumours, Pakistan have started superbly against West Indies as they won the 1st T20I by 14 runs.
