Arjun Tendulkar ripped through the opposition batters in the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament, which is also known as KSCA Invitational, a pre-season meet for state teams.
The 24-year-old Arjun, son of Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar, claimed a match-winning nine-wicket haul in Goa's innings and 189-run victory over host Karnataka in the pre-season tournament at the Alur KSCA in Bengaluru.

KSCA XI comprised mostly its U-19 and U-23 players with only two established names - batter Nikin Jose and wicketkeeper Sharath Srinivas - in the playing XI. Arjun dismissed the latter in both the innings and the former in the first innings.
The legendary Sachin Tendulkar's son had a match haul of 9/87 in 26.3 overs across two innings. In the first innings, Karnataka folded for 103 in 36.5 overs with Tendulkar junior taking 5/41 in 13 overs.
In the second innings, KSCA XI was a shade better, being shot out for 121 in 30.4 overs with Arjun grabbing 4 for 46 in 13.3 overs. In between, Goa posted a solid 413 riding on Abhinav Tejrana (109) century and Manthan Khutkar's 69.
Rohan Kadam, a former Karnataka player, also contributed 45 for Goa as an opener, while Arjun, who has proved he is no mug with the bat, added 18 runs off 22 balls, batting at number eight.
Earlier, Arjun Tendulkar had announced his arrival into First Class cricket with a century in his first domestic season for Goa and that also happened to be his debut match in Ranji Trophy. Arjun, who came in at number 7, scored 120 off 207 balls against Rajasthan in December 2022.
Arjun, who turns 25 next week, has so far played 49 competitive games across three formats at senior level and picked 68 wickets. In 13 first-class games, he has taken 21 wickets. The youngster has also featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians.
