Arjun Tendulkar Gets Engaged to Childhood Friend Sania Chandok: Report

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has taken an important step in his personal life, getting engaged to his childhood friend Sania Chandok. The intimate ceremony was held privately, attended only by close family members and a few friends, as per a report by India Today.

Sania Chandok hails from a prominent Mumbai business family. She is the granddaughter of well-known industrialist Ravi Ghai, who owns InterContinental Marine Drive Hotel and Brooklyn Creamery, a low-calorie ice cream brand.

Sania is also professionally active as a designated partner and director of Mr. Paws Pet Spa and Store LLP. Interestingly, her father shares a long-standing friendship with Sachin Tendulkar, and Sania has known Arjun since childhood.

The engagement was kept away from the public eye, with no grand celebrations. Instead, it reflected a personal and family-oriented atmosphere, marking the beginning of a new chapter for both families.

Arjun, 25, has been part of the Mumbai Indians squad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since making his debut in 2023. An all-rounder, he bowls left-arm medium pace and is capable of contributing with the bat in the lower order. In his IPL career so far, he has played five matches, scoring 13 runs-his only batting opportunity coming in a match where he hit a six and made 13 off 9 balls. He has also taken three wickets.

Outside the IPL, Arjun has represented Goa in domestic cricket, building his career steadily. His record includes 17 first-class matches, where he has scored 532 runs and taken 37 wickets; 18 List A games, with 102 runs and 25 wickets; and 24 T20 matches, scoring 119 runs and picking up 27 wickets. Known for his ability to swing the new ball and deliver useful lower-order runs, Arjun continues to develop as a promising cricketer.

The engagement marks a joyful moment for the Tendulkar family, while fans await Arjun's return to competitive cricket. Though he didn't feature in any matches during IPL 2025, his focus will now shift to upcoming domestic and league opportunities, as he balances his career with his new personal milestone.
