Arshdeep Singh led India D to a resounding victory over India B in the final game of the Duleep Trophy campaign, clinching a 257-run win on Sunday (September 22).
Arshdeep's exceptional bowling performance, which included career-best figures of 6 for 40, was central to India D's triumph. Although it was not enough for India D to win the tournament, but they managed to get their first win of the tournament.

Along with six wickets in the second innings, Arshdeep also managed three in the first innings and that marked Arshdeep's best match figures of 9 for 90. Notably, he also managed to dismiss India's T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav twice.
In the second innings, Arshdeep got the wicket of Suyash Prabhudessai to start off his spell. He then went on to pick the India B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran and Suryakumar Yadav. The left-arm pacer came back later in the innings to knock over the tail and thus completed his six-wicket haul.
Despite being overlooked for the Test squad in favor of Yash Dayal, Arshdeep made a significant impression with his performance. Along the course of the tournament, the Punjab pacer ended up with 13 wickets in three matches, thus finishing 4th in the wickets tally.
The crafty bowler has shown his class with the red ball and is certain to be in the selectors' minds as they pick the squads for the upcoming New Zealand Test series, and then the tour of Australia.
