Zak Crawley and Joe Root put England in command against Australia on day 2 of the fourth Test of the Ashes 2023 at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester on Thursday (July 20).
After Chris Woakes' five-wicket haul helped bundle out Australia in the first session of the second day to 317, Crawley (189) and Root (84) shared a quick 206-run stand to help England to 384/4 at stumps on day 2.

Moeen Ali (54) also made a contribution of a fifty after he walked in early at number three following the dismissal of opener Ben Duckett, while England skipper Ben Stokes and Harry Brook remained unbeaten at stumps.
