With the urn headed Down Under, England will look to level the series when they take on Australia in the fifth and final Test of the Ashes 2023 at the The Oval in London, starting Thursday (July 27).
Rain robbed Ben Stokes led England of a win over Pat Cummins' Australia at Old Trafford in Manchester last week and the chance for the hosts to keep the Ashes alive. But, now the hosts will look to keep their home Ashes series unbeaten record intact.

England were five wickets away from an innings victory in Manchester, but rain played spoilsport on the final two days of the Test with day 4 seeing only one session of play and day 5 being completely washed out to force a draw, which led to Australia retaining the Ashes.
Now, the action shifts to The Oval in London. But with summer showers across the United Kingdom, will weather interrupt proceedings on Day 1 of the 5th Test? Here is a look at the London weather forecast for day 1 of the Ashes 2023 fifth Test on Thursday (July 27):
The weather forecast for London on Day 1 of the 5th Test is expected to breezy in the morning with a couple of showers and clouds breaking for some sun. The max temperature during the day time is expected to fluctuate from 19° C to 23° C, which may go down to as low as 15° C in the night.
Rain Prediction in London on July 27: There is forecast for rain right from midnight on Thursday (July 27) that could possibly clear around 7 AM Local Time. However, there is 61 percent chance of rain in the morning from 11 AM to 1 PM local time, possibly delaying start of play on day 1.
After that spell, there is very little chance for rest of the day. So, we may see interruption due to rain just before start or the first few hours of day 1's play. As per Weather.com, there is forecast for rain in the morning, possibly leading to a delayed start.
