Ashes 2023, England vs Australia 2nd Test: ENGvsAUS Head-To-Head Results, Stats and Record At Lord’s

Down 0-1, England will look to level the series when they face rivals Australia in the second Test of the Ashes 2023 at the Home of Cricket - Lord's Cricket Ground in London, starting from Wednesday (June 28).

Ben Stokes-led England will look to bounce back from the series opening defeat to Pat Cummins' Australia, who clinched a two-wicket victory in the first Test in the battle for the urn at the Edgbaston in Birmingham on June 20.

England vs Australia Test Head To Head

Opting to bat first, England declared with 393/8 on the board and bundled out the visitors to 386, taking a seven-run lead into the second innings, but the hosts faltered in the second innings, managing just 273 and set a target of 281 for Australia.

On the ultimate day of the Test, Australia led by Cummins, who shared a vital stand with Nathan Lyon, pulled off the chase with just under five overs left for play with two wickets in hand in a match that kept both sets of fans on edge of their seats.

Now, the action shifts to the Home of Cricket for the second Test, in which Australia will hope their better record at the venue will help them take a 2-0 lead in the five-match Test series. England, on the other hand, will look to get their bowling attack right.

This will be the 38th time the venue will play hosts to the Ashes rivals. England has beaten Australia seven times, while the team from Down Under has got a much better record of fifteen win with fifteen matches ending in a draw.
