Sachin Tendulkar has backed England to win the third Test of Ashes 2023 against Australia at the Headingley in Leeds. The match is perfectly poised at the end of Day 3. England are in need of 224 runs with 10 wickets in hand.
The hosts, who conceded a 26-run lead in the first innings, bundled out Australia for 224 in the second innings. Chasing 251, England openers scored 27 runs in the five overs on Saturday to their team on the top.

Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes picked three wickets each, while Mark Wood registered two scalps. Left-arm spinner took the important wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith.
Tendulkar has reckoned that the surface at Headingley was still 'absolutely fine' for batting and England should achieve the target. However, he asserted that England would have to be careful in the shot selection while continuing with their 'Bazball' approach of aggressive batting display.
"The first hour at Headingley is going to be critical tomorrow. I feel the wicket is playing absolutely fine and if England bat sensibly and are positive in their approach they will get there. They require discipline in their shot selection with a positive approach and the total will be chased," Tendulkar has tweeted.
Australia are leading the 5-Test series 2-0 and in case they win the third Test on Sunday, they will manage to retain the Ashes urn once again.
