Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have rejected Pakistan's proposed Hybrid Model for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, according to PTI.
The Asia Cup this year is in jeopardy as the majority of the teams have decided to pass Pakistan's hybrid model theory.

Amid India's refusal to play in Pakistan as the Asia Cup was originally scheduled to be played in the neighbour country, PCB proposed a hybrid model which would have meant India will play in a neutral venue whereas Babar Azam and co. play their matches at home.
But according to reports, this proposal is at sea as Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have decided not to accept it. The Hybrid model will mean more travel and logistic burden on teams and it will also mean significant mental and physical stress for the players along with financial issues.
"It is just a formality now that the Asian Cricket Council executive board members meet virtually or a proper meeting is called later this month.
"But the PCB is now aware that Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are not backing their hybrid model proposal for the Asia Cup," said a well-informed source aware of the developments to PTI.
The source said that Sethi was already in touch with his cricket management committee members and also with the relevant government officials to discuss Pakistan's stance if they do not get to host any matches of the Asia Cup at home.
Sethi has repeatedly said that if the tournament is moved to one neutral country from Pakistan, it will not take part in the competition and the source said it is on the cards that PCB will go for a boycott of the Asia Cup.
"Pakistan only has two options. Play the tourney at neutral venue or withdraw," an Asian Cricket Council (ACC) source said.
India and Pakistan are in an ongoing tussle regarding playing in each other's countries. After India declined to go to Pakistan, PCB have also indicated they may boycott the ICC ODI World Cup later this year in India.
