Pakistan cricket team fans trended Imad Wasim ahead of their side's must-win match in the Super Fours round of the Asia Cup 2023 on Thursday. Pakistan have to win the match against Sri Lanka to qualify in the Asia Cup 2023 final. The Babar Azam-led side will crash out even if the match is abandoned or ends in a tie.
Fans have opined that Pakistan have not done justice with their team selection for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 . They have raised questions over the exclusion of all-rounder Imad Wasim.

Notably, Pakistan have named three spinners in Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz (both all-rounders) and Usama Mir for the six-nation event. The inclusion of the 34-year-old in Pakistan's World Cup 2023 is also doubtful.
Pakistan were hammered by India in their Super Fours match against the arch-rivals which was played over a span of two days. India posted 356/2 in 50 overs before bundling out Pakistan for 128 to register a 228-run win.
Pakistan spinners were ineffective in the league stage match of the tournament against India. In the Super Fours, left-arm spinner Nawaz was dropped and replaced by pace-bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf.
Fans have slammed the Pakistan selectors and management for picking Nawaz over Imad Wasim despite not having enough belief in him. The sublime form of Imad in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 has increased the fan support behind the all-rounder.
