Asia Cup 2023 Final: Mohammed Siraj ran riot and picked a five-wicket haul in just 2.4 overs as Sri Lanka were reduced to 12/6 in 5.4 overs in the final of the Asia cup 2023 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.
Sri Lanka opted to bat first and lost their first wicket with just one run on the board. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Kusal Perera for a 2-ball duck. Mohammed Siraj bowled a maiden second over and Bumrah gave away just one run in the third over.

The Sri Lankan scorecard read 8/1 in three overs. By the end of fourth over it was 12/5. Mohammed Siraj picked four wickets in the fourth over and another one on the fourth ball of the sixth over saw him complete his five-wicket haul in just 2.4 overs (16) balls.
The Hyderabad-born pacer finished with match figures of 6/21 in seven overs. Hardin Pandya also picked three wickets for three runs in 2.2 overs as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 50 in just 15.2 overs - their lowest ODI total against India.
12/6 was the joint second-lowest score at the fall of the sixth wicket in the history of ODI cricket. The 50-run total was lowest by any team in ODI cricket against India. The total is also the lowest in an ODI final.
Indian fans were thrilled to see the stunning performance by their pacers on a surface which was being considered very good for spin bowling. They also took the opportunity to slam a Sri Lanka sports journalist Daniel Alexander.
Alexander has for long mocked Team India and trolled the Men in Blue without any reason.
"Congratulations to Bangladesh for their fantastic win against India. Bangladesh won by 6 runs dismissing Shami for 6 runs. 6×6=36 as a tribute to India's 36 all-out in a Test inns," he wrote on X after India's defeat to Bangladesh on Friday.
"Jadeja dismissed when India were 170 as a tribute to Buttler-led England's 170/0 against India, on the day Buttler scored 36 as a tribute to India's 36 all-out," read his another post.
He had also trolled Shubman Gill and Sachin Tendulkar after India's six-run defeat in the dead rubber.
"Shubman Gill scored a century in an Indian defeat as a tribute to Sachin's centuries in Indian defeats. Coincidentally, Sachin's last century was also in a defeat against Bangladesh in an Asia Cup ODI. Sachin stat padded for his personal milestone again scoring 114 in 147 balls," Daniel Alexander wrote on X.
Here's how fans trolled him after Sri Lanka collapsed to 50 all-out in the Asia Cup 2023 final.
