The Asia Cup 2023 commences this month and will be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The 50-over Asia Cup will be its 16th edition as six teams participate in the tournament.
Six teams have participated in this edition of the Asia Cup as Nepal make their debut. India, Pakistan and Nepal are slotted in a group, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan form the other.

There will be 13 matches in the tournament, with four being held in Pakistan. Out of those four, the opening match of the tournament will be played in Multan while the remaining three takes place in Lahore. India will play all of their matches in Sri Lanka.
The top two teams in each group advance to the super fours and after each team play three matches there, the best-ranked two teams will play the Final on September 17.
The list of commentators for the Asia Cup 2023 is released. Asian Cricket Council released that 12 ex-cricketers will comprise the commentary panel. Five former India players have been included, while 4 former Pakistan players have made the cut. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have one representative each.
Former India coach Ravi Shastri will be present with his voice in the tournament, and so will the former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja. The Pakistan pace duo Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis are among the commentators.

Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris was also reported to be a part of the commentary panel, but the Kiwi released a statement confirming he won't be available for the commentary in this edition of Asia Cup.
