Pakistan's current media manager Umar Farooq Kalson and their international team's General Manager Adnan Ali are at the forefront of controversy for an alleged action in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.
Adnan Ali and Umar Farooq were spotted entering and visiting a casino in Colombo and that has stormed the cricketing fraternity in Pakistan. The duo are currently in Sri Lanka for official purposes and thus their act comes against the code of conduct, thus attracting the intervention of ICC's anti-corruption unit.

After a few TV channels and social media posts showed the video of them visiting the Casino, controversy has erupted and many have criticised them for their activity. After some Pakistani news channels ran headlines, the two officials in the Casino later clarified that they had only gone to the Casino to have dinner, a ludicrous claim which has been laughed off by the people.
"Who goes to a Casino to have food? Who goes to a gambling joint to have food? Who are they trying to fool," cricket writer Omair Alavi said in disgust.
The Casino is a gambling place and the PCB officials shouldn't have gone there. Due to their action, they may face certain repercussions after returning to Pakistan.
"They could face strict disciplinary action on return," he added.
Pakistani officials are ought to adhere to ICC rules and code of conduct during any official visit. Incidentally, this is not the first time a Pakistani official has been spotted in gambling places.
During the 2015 World Cup, Pakistan's then chief selector and former captain Moin Khan was spotted at a Casino with his wife in Christchurch. Moin also claimed that he went to have dinner, but he was called back in the middle of the tournament.
The PCB chairman at that time Shaharyar Khan took a strong decision and sacked Moin after that. It is to be seen if the current officials have the same fate.
