Rishabh Pant paid a visit to his India teammates practicing in Karnataka's Alur ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 on Monday. The wicketkeeper-batter, who is on course to a speedy recovery, following his fatal car accident in December, was all smiles while re-uniting with the Men in Blue.
In a video posted by the official Instagram handle of the Indian cricket team, Pant could be seen walking into the facility donning a white hat, matching sunglasses, black t-shirt and shorts.

The short video shows Pant's Delhi Capitals (DC) teammate giving him a warm hug. Pant also got hold of the white-ball before giving it a close look and throwing it back to the Asia Cup-bound players. He also stood behind Rahul Dravid overlooking the high-intensity preparatory camp and applauding shots from the batters.
Pant's speedy recovery has surprised even the doctors. Until May, the southpaw was seeking support from crutches to walk around but three months later, he is back on his feet and facing fast bowlers. He recently turned out to bat in an exhibition match and played some exquisite shots without any pain whatsoever.
Pant is expected to return to action with the Test series against England in January next year and latest by the IPL 2024. The 25-year-old after missing the final of the World Test Championship (WTC), the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023, would be hoping to get into the team for the T20 World Cup in June 2024 in the West Indies and USA.
