Asia Cup 2023, a tournament organized by the Asian Cricket Councli (ACC), is hosted in hybrid format in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 and September 17 with six nations from the continent battling for the title in ODI format.
A total of 13 matches will be played in the tournament, starting with the group stage that saw the six teams divided into two groups of three teams each. India, Pakistan and Nepal are in Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Group B.

India met Pakistan in their Group A match on September 2 in Kandy followed by the fixture against Nepal on September 4 at the same venue, while Pakistan hosted Nepal in the tournament opener on August 30 in Multan. All of India's matches are being played in Sri Lanka.
In Group B, Sri Lanka opened their campaign against Bangladesh on August 31 in Kandy followed by the two fixtures in Lahore, where Bangladesh meet Afghanistan on September 3, while the Afghanistan side face Sri Lanka on September 5.
The top two teams from the first round group stage - Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh - progressed to Super Four stage, where each team faces the other team once, promising a second fixture between Pakistan and India that will be played in Colombo on September 10.
India will then face Sri Lanka on September 12 before their final Super 4 match against Bangladesh on September 15. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan will also face off in the Super 4 stages. The top two of the Super Four stage will then meet in the final on September 17.
Among the 13 matches, four were in Pakistan across two venues, and nine matches will be hosted by Sri Lanka across two venues. The final will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The tournament, which was held in T20 format in the previous two editions, is played in the ODI format after five years and will serve as a warm-up for the ODI World Cup set to be played in India in October and November.
In the 2018 edition, which was a 50-over tournament, Rohit Sharma-led Indian side beat Bangladesh by three wickets in the final, while Sri Lanka won the most recent edition in 2022, held in T20 format, by beating Pakistan in the final.
