Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to start from August 30 and end with the finals on September 17. The tournament will see six teams from the Asian continent do battle for the coveted trophy.

The tournament will be held in hybrid mode with Pakistan and Sri Lanka co-hosting the matches. The six teams that will feature in the 50-over tournament are: India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. India will play all their matches in Sri Lanka.

The six teams have been divided into the two groups of three teams each for the first round group stage match in which each team will play the other two teams in their respective groups with the top two progressing to the Super 4 stage.

As for groups in Asia Cup 2023, India are in Group A with arch-rivals Pakistan and Nepal, while defending champions Sri Lanka have been drawn with Bangladesh and Afghanistan in a tougher group.

The Super Four stage will see the four teams play against each other in a total of six matches with the top two heading to the final, which will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. With the Asia Cup fast approaching, teams have started announcing the squads for the tournament.
