Shadab Khan has reacted to chief selector Ajit Agarkar's comment in which he said that Virat Kohli would take care of Pakistan pace attack consisting of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah.
Agarkar, the chief selector of the Indian cricket team, responding to a question regarding India's preparation to tackle the Pakistan pacers, had laughed and said, "Kohli will take care of them".

Pakistan all-rounder has now reacted to Agarkar's comment with a smirk. He said that the Asia Cup 2023 contest between India and Pakistan on September 2 in Pallekele will make things clearer.
"It depends on a particular day, probably. Now, someone from India or me can make any claim, but those are just words. Anybody can say anything and that doesn't change or affect anything. When we will have the match, then we might see what goes on," Shadab said.
The pace unit of Pakistan was in top form in the Afghanistan ODIs. They bundled out the opposition for 59 runs in the first ODI and 209 in the third and final ODI on Saturday. Notably, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah were rested in the third ODI but Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim bowled equally well. Faheem took two wickets in his first ODI in over two years and was highly effective. Wasim gave away 35 runs only in 10 overs.
Since 2019, Kohli has faced Pakistan only in T20Is only and scored 158 runs in 110 balls against the pacers (Naseem Shah, Shaheen, Rauf, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Hasnain and Shahnawaz Dahani). The batting superstar has only been dismissed once. Shaheen Afridi picked the wicket of Kohli in the T20 World Cup 2021 but only after the right-hand batter had completed his fifty.
