Asia Cup: Virat Kohli sleeps to cope with massive Bangladesh traffic

Dhaka, Feb 23: He is adept at handling the best of bowlers in international cricket. But how does he deal with traffic woes in Bangladesh? Well, the answer is simple from Indian batsman Virat Kohli. Just sleep and don't bother too much about traffic snarls.

Asia Cup schedule and squads; Can't hit big sixes, says Kohli

Bangladesh is known for massive traffic jams and people are often subjected to long waits. And cricketers too are not spared.

As Bangladesh gets ready to host Asia Cup Twenty20 tournament from tomorrow (February 24), Kohli was asked about the traffic in Dhaka and how he will cope with it.

The Delhi batsman admitted that he was used to such traffic congestion back home as well and he just prefers to sleep in the team bus when stuck on road.

"We sleep in the bus there is no other option (laughs). We don't have that much problem. Even back home our traffic conditions are not very good (laughs). There is no big difference, you know how it is in cities like Delhi, Mumbai," Kohli said on Tuesday (February 23) as he spoke to the media ahead of the team's opening game against the hosts.

"I am used to sitting in vehicles for nearly 1 hour. I don't have any problem (with traffic in Bangladesh). I sleep off. I never had problems with traffic conditions as I am used to travelling in vehicles for long hours," he added.

Kohli's team-mate Ravichandran Ashwin too had tweeted about Bangladesh traffic on Sunday (February 21).

Whether traffic on the road or facing best of the bowlers on the field, Kohli has all the right answers.
