The women's cricket event at the Asian Games 2023 will enter its fourth day on Friday, September 22. Qualifier matches were played on Tuesday, September 19 and Wednesday, September 20.
The quarter-finals round started on Wednesday September 20 as India took on Malaysia Women in the first Quarter-final. The match was reduced to 15-over per-side affair. India Women piled up 173/2 in 15 overs but just chase two balls into the chase, Malaysian innings was interrupted with a second spell of rain at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou.

Umpires waited for a while before abandoning the match and declaring India the winners on the basis of a superior ranking. The second match between Pakistan Women and Indonesia Women was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Pakistan advanced to the semi-final because of their better ranking.

Sri Lanka Women and Bangladesh Women will be in action on the second and final day of the quarter-finals round. Sri Lanak Women will lock horns with Thailand Women from 6:30 AM. Bangladesh Women will clash against Hong Kong Women at 11:30 AM. There are high chances of rain in Hangzhou on Friday as well.
