Mongolia Women's cricket team had to face a lot of embarrassment in their debut international tournament after getting bundled out for 15 in their first match against Indonesia Women at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou on Tuesday.
Just 24 hours later, Mongolia got all out for 22 against Hong Kong Women in the quarter-final qualifier of the women's cricket event at the Asian Games 2023. Mongolia scored a total of 37 runs after losing 20 wickets in 22.4 overs across the two matches.

In the first match, Mongolia Women opted to bowl first as Indonesia piled up 187 runs for the loss of just four wickets in 20 overs. In reply Mongolia Women got all out for 15 in 10 overs. Just 10 runs came off the bat and the five extras helped them take their total past 10. Seven of their batters got out for a duck. Opener Batjargal Ichinkhorloo, who got run out for five, was the leading run-scorer for the team.
After facing a 172-run defeat, Mongolia Women took the field 24 hours later to face Hong Kong Women. They opted to bowl once again. Hong Kong Women posted 202 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs.
Five batters were dismissed for a duck this time. Opener Jargalsaikhan Erdenesuvd and all-rounder Mendbayaar Enkhzul top-scored with five runs each. Three batters scored two runs each and one scored a single run. Five extras helped Mongolia post 22 in 12. 4 overs as they lost by 180 runs.
