Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has heaped praises on Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi, and the legendary captain believes the India call for Nabi is imminent.
Auqib Nabi has risen among the rest in the last couple of domestic seasons. The Baramulla-born has shown his immense skillset with the ball, spearheading the J&K bowling unit in the domestic competitions.

This season, Auqib has 60 wickets to his name already in the Ranji Trophy as Jammu and Kashmir are on the cusp of a historic maiden title as they are significantly ahead in the final against Karnataka.
Nabi, a player of immense class and discipline, has risen in the hard and industrious pathway. After years of toil in the domestic circuit, the 29-year-old has produced his gems for his state in the last two seasons. In the ongoing season, he dismantled almost every opponent with his magic, and has looked ominous in the final as well.
Nabi was crucial for J&K to take a 291-run lead against Karnataka in the first innings, as he picked up 5 wickets yet again. KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Mayank Agarwal and in-form Smaran Ravichandran were among his scalps, thus further signifying the quality he has brought with himself.
And amid this, Ganguly has hailed the pacer and believes that the Jammu and Kashmir star is now ready for the next step. On a social media post on Friday, Ganguly picked the England series as perfect for Nabi to make his debut in India colours.
"J&K has shown the world what effort and intent can do ..They have made that region so proud of them. A tough environment makes tough people. Aqib nabi on his way to national colours .. england is the place to start in the summer," Ganguly wrote on X.
Not just that, the former India captain also tagged BCCI, chief selector Ajit Agarkar and BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia in his post.
Nabi's India selection remains a matter of summer, but the pacer will have an opportunity to showcase his game in the IPL this season, as he was picked up by Delhi Capitals for a whopping Rs 8.4 crore in the auction.
