AUS vs PAK: Australia defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in the third and final Test in Sydney to clean sweep Pakistan 3-0 on Saturday, January 6. Australia chased down the 130-run target in 25.5 overs on Day 4 of the Test match.
Pakistan managed to take a 14-run lead after bundling out Australia for 299 runs on Day 3, but the hosts bounced back on the back of a superlative bowling performance led by Josh Hazlewood (4/16). Veteran off-spinner Nathan Lyon also picked three wickets as Pakistan could manage just 130 in the second innings.

Playing in his final Test innings at his home ground, David Warner smashed seven boundaries en route to his 57 off 75 to fire Australia to an eight wicket win at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Marnus Labuschagne stayed unbeaten on 62, while off-spinner Sajid Khan picked both the wickets for Pakistan. He dismissed Usman Khawaja for a duck.
Pakistan had arrived in Australia with an aim to win their maiden Test match. However, they were beaten hands down under the leadership of their new captain Shan Masood. The visitors lost the first Test by 360 runs in Perth. In Melbourne Australia defeated Pakistan by 79 runs.
Mitchell Marsh top-scored in the 3-match Test series. He scored 344 runs and was followed by Warner (299) and Khawaja (220). Pat Cummins picked 19 wickets, and was followed by Aamer Jamal who picked six wickets in the first innings of the Sydney Test. Jamal picked 18 wickets in his debut Test series.
