In the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 match between Australia and Pakistan today, the DRS has gone down at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
During the 17th over of the Pakistan innings, the umpire Chris Brown, informed the Australian players that the DRS was down. It means that the players will have to rely on on field umpires decision.

Commentator Simon Doull confirmed the news and said that players will not be able to use the technology for some overs.
The DRS was out, and the reason is being that there was a power outage at the Chinnaswamy Stadium which hampered DRS activity. And that is the reason why the players couldn't use it for a couple of years.
It can be a problematic for both teams, as any decision which can be contentious, couldn't be reviewed due to the unavailability of the technology.
Luckily for both sides, the unavailability of the DRS was short lived, as the players couldn't use it for two overs only. After the completion of 18th over, the umpires confirmed both teams' players that the DRS was back in full capacity.
Hence, it perhaps was a minor power issue which was resolved quickly by the organizers. The match is continuing and Pakistan are on 116 for no loss after 19 overs as they chase a mammoth total of 368 runs.
