Australia has handed maiden call up to two top performers in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 13 as Jake Fraser-McGurk and Xavier Bartlett have been named as replacements for Glenn Maxwell and Jhye Richardson in the ODI squad to face West Indies.
While Melbourne Renegades' Fraser-McGurk comes in for the rested Maxwell, who is likely to return for the T20I series, Brisbane Heat's Bartlett replaces Richardson, who picked up a side strain during the BBL season.

Maxwell joins fellow World Cup winners Pat Cummins, Mitch Marsh, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood as first-choice players that will miss the series. Steve Smith will lead the side with Travis Head serving as his deputy.
Both Fraser-McGurk and Bartlett are in contention to make their international debut during the three-match ODI series, scheduled to be played from February 2, with games in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
Fraser-McGurk grabbed the headlines last year when he broke AB de Villiers' record for the fastest List A century after he smashed a 29-ball ton when playing domestic cricket in Australia.
Bartlett, meanwhile, is a right-arm pacer that has impressed in recent white-ball fixtures at domestic level and also produced a handful of good performances when playing for Australia's Under 19 team last decade and for Australia A against New Zealand A last year.
Apart from Fraser-McGurk and Bartlett, Lance Morris, who failed to break into the Test playing 11, also has earned his first ODI call up, while the likes of Matt Short, Aaron Hardie, Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis are also part of the squad.
Short is likely to open the batting in the absence of recently retired David Warner and the rested Mitchell Marsh. Meanhwhile, Josh Inglis is the lone wicketkeeper in the squad that also includes Cameron Green, Marnus Labuschagne, and Adam Zampa.
