As the boys on the field was jubilant and celebrating, it was an utter overpour of emotion in the stands and at the commentary box as West Indies won a Test match in Australia after a gap of 27 years.

Brian Lara, the stalwart of Windies cricket was in tears. Another former captain and legend Carl Hooper was stunned and was crying in joy as the new generation glittered in glory and shadowed the mighty Australians in their own backyard.

Brian Lara was at the commentators' box when the winning moment came, and the Prince couldn't hold back emotion. He was seen being hugged by Australia legend Adam Gilchrist, and when he gathered the moment to speak, he hailed the team.

"Unbelievable. 27 years to beat Australia in Australia. Young, inexperienced and written off, this West Indies team can stand stall today. West Indies can stand stall today. Today is a big day for West Indies cricket. Congratulations to every single member of that cricket team. What a wonderful occasion," Brian Lara said while tears rolled down his eyes.

Another former captain Carl Hooper was in shock and disbelief and had his hands on his head. The legend was crying and gasping as the emotion was palpable on his face.

West Indies, after losing the first Test, have come back and drawn the series 1-1. The focus now shifts to limited overs cricket and the West Indies boys will be hoping to replicate the same.
