Chennai, Sept 27 (UNI) Team India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik today said the coming seven-match ODI series against World Champions Australia would be a challenging one.
Talking to reporters after receiving a cheque for Rs five lakh from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in appreciation of his performance in India's triumph in Twenty20 World cup, he said Aussies are the best team in the world and they were the World champions.
''It will be a challenging series. We have beaten them in the T-20 world cup and are confident of beating them again'', he said.
Dinesh thanked the Tamil Nadu government's support and said because of their help and the assistance of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association people like him were able to come up.
''This award will inspire me to win many more laurels for the State and India'', he added.
