The left-hander has pulled out of the five-match T20I series in India, but was adamant that the 2023 World Cup was not his final appearance in the 50-over show-piece tournament.

An active member on social media, Warner took to X to reply to a post that read his World Cup career ends with a glorious record, stating: "Who said I'm finished?" which could only mean that he is ready for another ODI World Cup.

The 37-year-old scored 535 runs, including 2 centuries in 11 innings at an average of 48.63 during Australia's sixth World Cup triumph. He was the leading run-scorer for the country and won his second ODI World Cup with the first coming back in 2015.

There has been doubts over Warner's future in limited overs cricket earlier, but the opener has always bounced back when there has been a dip in form and ended those doubting his suitablity to the white-ball game.

The southpaw produced match-winning knocks in Australia's first T20 World Cup triumph in 2020 when people had questioned his ability to play in the fast-paced format.

Will Warner play in another ODI World Cup?

The next ODI World Cup will take place four years from now in 2027 with three countries - South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe co-hosting the show-piece tournament.

The Australian opener is 37-years-old now and by the time the next ODI World Cup arrives, he will be 41-years-old. While age may not be a factor, but the amount of cricket played between now and the next ODI World Cup may play a role in his appearance.

Warner represents Australia in all three formats and is also a regular in the Indian Premier League. He is likely to be in the plans for next year's T20 World Cup, but his availablity for the next ODI World Cup will be known when the tournament gets closer.
