After a 3-0 white-wash in the ODI series, Australia will look for a repeat in the three-match T20I series against the two-time World Champions West Indies ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean and USA later this year.
The three-match series serves as a good platform for both sides to test their squads heading into the show-piece event scheduled for June this year. The Australia vs West Indies T20I series action starts in Hobart and then moves to Adelaide before the tour ends in Perth.

West Indies come into the series on the back of a 3-2 home series against England in December 2023, while Australia suffered a 1-4 away series loss to India also in December last year.
For Australia, Mitch Marsh returns to captain along with David Warner and Josh Hazlewood after missing the series in India entirely following the ODI World Cup. Josh Inglis is likely to partner Warner at the top of the order with Travis Head and Steve Smith rested, and Matt Short injured.
Short has been replaced by all-rounder Aaron Hardie, who joins the likes of Spencer Johnson, Jason Behrendorff and Sean Abbott as pace bowling options alongside Hazlewood and Marsh with Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc being rested.
The hosts squad will also welcome back Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell, who missed the ODIs, while Matthew Wade, who led the side in India, is the other wicketkeeper in the side that includes Adam Zampa and Tim David
West Indies, on the other hand, will welcome some big name T20 players like Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell and skipper Rovman Powell. All rounder Jason Holder also is in the squad that includes Johnson Charles, Kyle Mayers, Brandon King and Sherfane Rutherford among others.
