Axar Patel reveals hilarious truth on how Dinesh Karthik put him and Siraj in trouble after T20 World Cup Win, leaves Rohit Sharma in splits

India pulled off a historic moment in West Indies as they won the T20 World Cup after beating South Africa in the final.

The wait for an ICC trophy was over for the Men in Blue as they triumphed in Barbados under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

After winning the final, the players were visibly emotional. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli were in tears while Hardik Pandya was also crying profusely. The entire unit hoisted the Indian flag on Barbados' soil and were interviewed one by one just after their magnificent victory.

And recently in the Kapil Sharma show, Axar Patel revealed how Dinesh Karthik put him and Mohammed Siraj under immense pressure. Karthik, who was working as a commentator, interviewed the Indian duo in English, which was not the most joyous experience for both of them.

"Siraj was with me and was saying that ' Don't know why DK bhai chose me for an English interview. There are a lot of people who know English and he picked us for the English interview.' We were talking things like this," Axar Patel said at the Kapil Sharma show.

Rohit Sharma, who was also present in the show, was laughing as Axar revealed the anecdote. Shivam Dube, Suryakumar Yadav and Arshdeep Singh were also in splits. And then Axar went on to reveal another hilarious truth when asked if he completed the interview with Dinesh Karthik.

"Yes, I gave the interview. I don't know what I said at that time. Siraj left mid-interview saying that all of his English knowledge was done in the ongoing interview," an elated Axar Patel added when asked by Kapil if he completed the interview with Dinesh Karthik.

As someone uploaded the clippings of Axar's admission on the show, Dinesh Karthik shared it with a hilarious laughing reaction on his X profile.

Both Axar and Siraj were part of the India Test squad which won 2-0 against Bangladesh. They are expected to return in the upcoming Test series against New Zealand.
