Pakistan recently whitewashed Sri Lanka 2-0 to kick off their World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle on a high note. They won the first Test by four wickets and the second one in Colombo by an innings and 222 runs.
Saud Shakeel hit a double hundred in the first Test, while Abdullah Shafique slammed 326-ball 201 in the second Test. Not very often does any other Pakistan batter apart from their captain Babar Azam make headlines. The 28-year-old, since his debut in 2015 has been nothing but sensational.

In just 49 Test matches, the Lahore-born cricketer has scored 3772 runs at an average of 47.74. Nine hundreds and 26 fifties have come off his bat already. He currently occupies the number five spot in the latest ICC rankings for Test bowlers.
However, in the 2-Test series against Sri Lanka, Babar just failed to get going and was dismissed by a single bowler on each of the three occasions in the series.
He was dismissed for 13 in the first innings of the first Test. In the second innings, he scored 24 runs, while in his final outing in the first innings of the second Test, the right-hander perished for 39.
Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya got the prized wicket on each of the three occasions. He trapped Babar Azam twice in front of the stumps. In the first innings of the first Test, he was caught at short leg by Sadeera Samarawickrama.
The three dismissals has now made Jayasuriya the bowler to dismiss Babar for the joint-highest number of times. He has equalled Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood's tally dismissing the Pakistan skipper six times in Test cricket.
Following them on the list is veteran off-sinner Nathan Lyon who has got the better of Babar five times. West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph has also dismissed Babar Azam three times.
