Jasprit Bumrah has shown what India were missing in the previous edition of the T20 World Cup. In the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, India were without Jasprit Bumrah, who was out with injury.

India lost the semi-final against England by 10 wickets in Adelaide. The England side chased down a 169-run target in just 16 overs. However, that was not the case when the two sides met each other again in the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final in Guyana on Thursday.

Chasing a 172-run target, England were bundled out for 103 runs in 16.4 overs. Bumrah was clinical once again, bowling 2.4 overs for 12 runs and two wickets. He picked the prized wicket of a very dangerous Phil Salt.

The 30-year-old has been key to India's success in the ongoing ICC showpiece event. His economy rate of 4.13 is the best among bowlers who have bowled more than 16 overs in the tournament.

Teams have tried their best to avoid any risk against India's pace spearhead but that hasn't stopped Bumrah from picking the key wickets. Take for example, Bumrah got the wickets of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan as India successfully defended 120 against Pakistan.

Eyes will be on Jasprit Bumrah once again as India take on first-time finalists South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday. Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan and Bangladesh's Rishad Hossain finished with 14 wickets each. Bumrah has 13 wickets at an average of 8.15.
