Pakistan got off to a horrendous start, losing three wickets for 19 runs. The biggest setback came in the form of Babar Azam when the former Pakistan captain was dismissed by Pat Cummins just two overs before Tea. Babar edged the delivery into the gloves of Alex Carey to depart for an individual score of 14.

He scored 21 runs in the first innings which saw Pakistan post 271 runs while replying to Australia's first innings total of 487. Pakistan could face 80 more deliveries after returning from the break and got bundled out for 89.

Pakistan fans were livid at the performance of their side and vented out their frustration on X. Babar Azam was also massively trolled for his ordinary outings in the Test match. They questioned his credentials outside Asia and against big teams in pressure situations.

In 29 away Test matches, Babar Azam has scored 1789 runs at an average of 38.06. In complete contrast, the 13 home Test matches have seen him score 1491 runs at an average of 1491. The 29-year-old averages 26.08 from six Test matches in Australia.
