Bangladesh has announced their squad for the upcoming white-ball tour against New Zealand on Friday (December 1).
Bangladesh will be locking horns against the Kiwis in a limited-overs format assignment. The Tigers will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is down under as the series kicks off on December 17 with the 50-over match.

Bangladesh has chosen Najmul Hossain Shanto as the captain for the upcoming ODI and T20I series. Shanto has replaced their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan, who will not take any part due to a finger injury. Along with that, BCB has also picked Mehidy Hasan Miraz to deputise Shanto in both formats.
Apart from that, there are a few changes in the squad as well. Shak Mahedi Hasan and Nasum Ahmed have found no place in the team, whereas Afif Hossain, Soumya Sarkar, Rishad Hossain, and newcomer Rakibul Hasan have been included.

Soumya Sarkar's return to both the ODI and T20I format is interesting news as the all-rounder is back in Bangladesh's T20I squad for the first time since the T20 World Cup last year.
On the other hand, Mahmudullah Riyadh, who had a decent World Cup 2023 campaign, has not been considered for any of the formats.
